Ryan's obituary came out in the ArgusObserver newspaper today. it can be found online. We look forward to seeing those of you who can make it on Saturday at 1pm Fruitland High School as we celebrate Ryan's life.
Our sweet Ryan is working on completing his fight. He is comfortable, pain free and has said his goodbyes. Our boys have been here with us talking with their daddy and have been so strong. Brody has his first day of kindergarten tomorrow and this was a very important day for his Dad. I believe that he will see that through and then begin to find our spot in the mountains in Heaven. Ryans family is here with us and are doing well. They have been so stong as well. Thank you all for your love and support, you have all made such a difference in this journey. Please know that today, we are all at peace and know that Ryan will continue to teach us. We will see him "Just around the corner". All is well. I am following this with his favorite reading.
**Death is nothing at all. I have only slipped away into the next room. I am. I and you are whatever we were to eachother, that we still are. Call me by my old familiar name. Speak to me in the easy way which you always used to. Put no difference in your tone; wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow. Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes we enjoyed together pray, smile, think of me, pray for me. Let my name be ever the household word that it always was. Let it be spoken without effort without the trace of a shadow in it. Life means all that it ever meant. It is the same as it ever was, there is unbroken continuity, why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight? I am waiting for you, somewhere very near just around the corner. All is well**
Saturday's Benefit was an AMAZING success!!! The morning started off with the Golf Tournament. We had 37 team of 4 people attend. Thank you to all our golfers and hole sponsors!!!
Dinner was a HUGE success. We had over 400 guest and over 100 auction items! I thought all of you who donated or attended the event might like to see what the auction items sold for. Also below is a list of our other sponsors.
Thank you to everyone who attended and made this such a special day! It is because of all of you this turned out as wonderful as it did. I believe it was a life changing event for not only Ryan and his family, but all of us who were so blessed to be there. Ryan and Ashley are truly and inspiration to us all!
